Serving the Community
One of the core missions of NIS is to serve the needs of the surrounding communities at large. We recognize the struggles of the individuals and families in Norristown Township and have established the following programs to support them:
  • Grocery Distribution: Distribution of essential grocery items like milk, bread, eggs, rice and cereal to needy families in Norristown.
  • Food serving to the local community: Serving hot food to needy families within Norristown.
  • Refugee assistance: Offering monetary and logistic resources to assist with refugee resettlement.
  • Annual Bazaar to support local family-owned businesses.

NIS has established partnerships with other organizations in the area to assist with these programs. We have a dedicated group of volunteers and plan to add more programs as additional resources become available to best serve the needs of within the community.
