Introduction:
We are excited to present a comprehensive proposal for the renovation of the Norristown Islamic Society Activity Hall. In 2019, the Norristown Islamic Society acquired a 150-year-old church, primarily focusing on transforming it into a masjid. While our efforts concentrated on renovating the prayer areas and providing essential services such as wudhu areas and bathrooms, the Activity Hall remains part of the original structure.
Vision:
Our vision for the renovation of this space is to transform it into a dynamic hub that not only hosts Islamic conferences and community gatherings but also serves as a beacon of our rich Islamic heritage. It will function as a dedicated center for Dawah, extending a warm welcome to visitors from school boards, interfaith groups and local students eager to learn about Islam within the Norristown Islamic Society.
Objectives:
1) Upgrade our aging infrastructure to meet modern standards and enhance functionality, all while seamlessly integrating elements that showcase Islamic heritage and preserve the historic essence of the space.
2) Create a flexible space that can accommodate a variety of events, including conferences, dining, and community gatherings.
3) Establish the renovated space as a versatile hub for Islamic conferences, community gatherings while also serving as a center for Dawah to welcome visitors, including school boards and students eager to learn about Islam.
4) Incorporate design elements that reflect the history, cultural identity and values of the Islamic community.

1) HVAC System Upgrade and Gasline Concealment: Reinstall HVAC system with added blowers for improved air circulation, addressing previous heating issues in the Activity Hall. Conceal rusty gas lines connected to HVAC system for both functionality and aesthetics. Cost: $8000
2) Door and Lock Renovation: Renovate the doors and locks of the Activity Hall to improve security and accessibility, providing peace of mind and convenience for users. Cost: $8000
3) High-Resolution Projector Installation: Install a 4K ceiling-mounted projector to facilitate high-quality visual presentations, ensuring optimal viewing experiences for attendees. Cost: $4000
4) Stage Wall Construction: Construct a dedicated wall on the stage area to accommodate projection equipment, enhancing the versatility of the hall for presentations, lectures, and multimedia displays. Cost: $6000
